The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University was founded in 1957 by some experts of the former Shanghai First Medical College (now Shanghai Medical College of Fudan University) who moved westward to Chongqing. It is a Grade 3A comprehensive teaching hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care and foreign medical treatment, and it is renowned in southwest China for its complete range of academic disciplines, strong technological strength, outstanding specialty characteristics and outstanding service capability. The hospital takes the headquarter as the main body, and the first branch, Jinshan Hospital District and Qingkang Elderly Nursing Center as the three special hospital districts, forming a development pattern with distinctive features and complementary functions under the strategy of homogenized management and differentiated development. Advanced Medical Equipment The hospital owns advanced instruments and equipment with a total value of nearly 2.5 billion yuan, including the fourth-generation da Vinci surgical robot, orthopedic surgical robot, PET-MRI, PET-CT, SPECT-CT, magnetic resonance, CT, LA, DSA, cyclotron, etc., and the medical equipment has reached the first-class level in China.
